Soriano, Andres MD

Dr. Soriano is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Charlotte and Sarasota counties.

A graduate of Universidad de Guayaquil Medical School in his native Ecuador, Dr. Soriano completed residencies in internal medicine at the University of Miami – Jackson Memorial Hospital, St. Louis University – Forest Park Hospital and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, where he was awarded a fellowship in hematology/ oncology and later served as an adjunct assistant professor in medical oncology.

Throughout his career, Dr. Soriano has been active in clinical trial research, with a special interest in Phase 1 clinical trials. He has received numerous awards for his work and his research has been published in such prestigious journals as Blood, American Journal of Hematology and the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.

Dr. Soriano serves on the FCS Audit Committee.

Fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and French, Dr. Soriano likes reading about world history, ancient cultures, global business news and biographies. He also enjoys music and dancing and staying active through running and exercise.
