Student Scholarship Program

The Latin American Medical Association (LAMA) is proud to support the next generation of physicians through our Student Scholarship Program. Our goal is to recognize and support medical students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to serving their communities.

 

Medical school is a demanding journey not only academically and emotionally, but also financially. The rising cost of medical education places a significant burden on many talented and dedicated students. Through our scholarship program, LAMA seeks to help alleviate part of that financial pressure so students can focus on their training and development as future physicians.

 

Our vision is not only to support students during their medical education, but also to encourage them to build their careers within our community. By supporting medical students from schools such as LECOM, Florida State University, and other accredited institutions, we hope to inspire them to remain in — or return to — our region to serve the communities that need them most.

 

LAMA members take pride in mentoring and supporting future physicians and creating opportunities for them to connect with established physicians across multiple specialties.

 

Selected scholarship recipients will be invited as honored guests to the LAMA Annual Gala, where they will be formally recognized and presented with their scholarship award.
